Open a browser or a lightweight app to confirm data flows. A failed test here is far easier to troubleshoot with airport Wi-Fi than in a taxi later. If nothing loads, toggle airplane mode or manually select the local network from carrier settings.
- Send a quick iMessage or WhatsApp ping to verify two-way data.
- Check that your eSIM profile shows as “active” under Cellular Plans.
- Reboot your phone if the network doesn’t appear automatically after landing.
